We pay a weekday rate of £12.60, including any travel time and downtime, with an enhanced weekend rate of £13.20 per hour plus 45p per mile.
We pay time and a half on bank holidays.
As a Home Care Worker, you will deliver care and support in line with each individual’s support plan, promoting independence and meeting the National Wellbeing Outcomes. Your role will include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, and assisting with daily living. You will contribute to risk assessments, follow safeguarding procedures, and ensure care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in accordance with regulatory standards.
An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
As a home care worker with People Support, you will provide care and support to individuals within their own homes. Daily tasks include support with medication, personal care, washing, dressing and day-to-day tasks as outlined within the service users care and support plan.
We offer full-time, part-time, and relief home care worker jobs in Welshpool and the surrounding areas.
Our typical shifts are morning shift 07:00-14:00 and evening shifts are 15:30-22:00.
All new staff take part in classroom training. You’ll also complete online learning modules. The local Health Board will train you in safe medication support. Before working independently, you will join shadowing shifts with experienced staff to build skills and confidence and be signed off by your manager when you are ready.
As a home care worker in Welshpool, you won't need experience; we have had many people join us with no experience, and they have become some of the best home care workers. We will provide you with full training and shadowing. We welcome applicants such as people with no experience, students, and those looking to join the care sector.
